Q: How do I register for the Family History Show MarketPlace?

To register for MarketPlace you must be registered on the Ontario Ancestors website and have a username and password.  You do not need to be  a Society member. Select Register from the Conference website and choose “MarketPlace” as the type of registration.  

Q: How much does it cost to register for MarketPlace?

MarketPlace is priced per table.  Chairs are included.

    • Branch $50
    • Heritage Organization $65
    • Commercial Organization $85

Power is an additional $25.  Wireless Internet is included.  If you require a dedicated wired Internet connection, the cost is $150/day.

Q: What hours is the Marketplace open?

The Family History Show Marketplace is open to conference attendees and the general public:

Friday: 12 noon to 5 PM
Saturday: 10 AM to 5 PM
Sunday: 9AM to 3 PM

Q: Why don’t branches get a free table anymore?

The conference committee has changed the policy for branches to encourage participation in MarketPlace.  Conference visitors want to visit branches in MarketPlace. Branches that register for a table in MarketPlace are entitled to a coupon for a free weekend conference pass.

Q: I have registered my branch in MarketPlace.  How do I get the coupon for a free conference pass.

When we receive your MarketPlace registration, the conference registrar will send a coupon code to the person who registered.  To redeem the coupon, the recipient should register under Branch Promotion and will be able to enter the coupon just before submitting their registration.

Q: Can you tell me about the tables? 

Tables are 6′ x 2′ and are covered and fully skirted in cloth. 

Q: When is MarketPlace set-up? 

MarketPlace opens to attendees and the public at 12:00 pm on Friday June 5th. Setup can be done beginning 8:00 am on Friday.
